Cultural Heritage – Shooting a documentary film

The first film about the restoration of the Povazsky Castle will be made thanks to the Norwegian Funds.

The webpage contains the information on the project Cultural Heritage, interesting facts about selected cultural monuments restored thanks to the Norwegian Funds, short documentary films and artistic photographs.

Twenty-one short cultural films which show changes made to 21 supported historical objects have been produced over two years. The artistic photos have been taken by Norwegian and Slovak photographers who have spread the information at various exhibitions in various countries such as Norway, Slovakia, and Iceland etc. The collection of films depicts historical values of the objects and the current cultural and social life in the region surrounding the monument. Therefore, the films can also be screened at schools of art as they build a positive relationship toward monuments and the nations promoting the preservation of European heritage.

The Embassy of the Norwegian Kingdom in the Slovak Republic and the Government Office of the Slovak Republic have jointly issued a calendar of Slovak national cultural monuments which have been supported by the Norwegian Funds. The month October is devoted to the Povazsky Castle.

A final press conference on the project Cultural Heritage under which a short documentary film was made by the company Mirafilm about the Povazsky Castle and a series of photographs.
