ASSOCIATION OF BYSTRICA CASTLE

The Association of Bystrica Castle was established in 2008. The members of the Association for the Rescue of the Lietava Castle led by Ľ. Chobot, which has been rescuing the Lietava Castle successfully for several years, have the main share in establishing the association. Our aim is to follow their example and rescue significant cultural monument the Bystrica Castle which has been given a second change after decades of falling into ruin.

THE ROLE IN THE PROJECT

1. The subject-matter of the agreement is the cooperation between the parties in the following areas and in conducting activities associated with the implementation of the project “Restoration of the Povazsky Castle – Cultural and National Heritage (CNH)”.

a.) The first role was to prepare and carry out the opening and closing conference and the information day, and to ensure and take part in the associated promotion

b.) The second role was to collect texts and photos for printed publications which will be processed by an external supplier.

c.) Creation of a sub-webpage at the website of both partners. The sub-page will contain project activities, works schedule, an electronic brochure and later on the information on regular events held at the castle.

d.) Cooperation in conducting construction works carried out by an external supplier – coordination of works at the castle, professional assistance, participation in inspection days and other necessary collaboration to implement the project successfully.

3. Providing the information about the implementation of the project “Restoration of the Povazsky Castle – Cultural and National Heritage (CNH)” and the information which may have any impact on the project implementation without undue delay

The Local Tourism Organisation – Horne Povazie Region

The Horne Povazie Region is characterized by numerous opportunities to spend holidays actively, and it is becoming more and more popular among tourists. The spectacular nature is its indispensable part, overwhelming a good many visitors. The nature and traditional way of animal breeding and plant growing form ideal conditions for agrotourism development. Horne Povazie is a starting-point of several tourism routs and cycling routes. There are routes of various difficulty there, so tourists with both high and low demands will be satisfied. In addition to the beautiful nature, the region is rich in monuments and cultural events about customs and traditions. The variety of events made the region one of the most attractive Slovak regions.

The Local Tourism Organisation (OOCR) Horne Povazie Region was established in 2012. Currently, the organisation consists of 21 proper and 12 affiliated members such as business entities (accommodation and dining facilities, spas...), municipalities (the town of Povazska Bystrica and municipalities of Horna Marikova, Nimnica, Papradno, Plevnik-Drienove, Pruzina, Vrchtepla and Zaskalie), civic associations, cultural and sport organizations and others.

The organisation was established to support tourism and tourism development especially in Povazska Bystrica and other member municipalities, to promote cultural monuments and the stunning nature of the region, to create tourism products and make destination management higher quality. Since its establishment, the organisation has placed tourism information tables in the member municipalities. It takes part in tourism trade fairs regularly. It supports its members in building tourism infrastructure. The organisation co-organises and co-funds events aimed at tourism development and maintenance of folk tradition in member municipalities. The organisation promotes the region by publishing promotion materials and articles in print. It has produced an information movie about the region. The organisation has been granted a financial donation for its development each year by the Ministry of Transport and Construction. Since 201, OOCR Region Horne Povazie is a member of the Regional Tourism Organisation Trencin Region which promotes our region also beyond the Slovak borders.

GOALS

The Local Tourism Organisation Region Horne Povazie was established in 2012. It aims at promoting cultural heritage and the natural beauty of the Horne Povazie Region, to create tourism products and to make improve destination management. OOCR members are municipalities as well as entities which do business in tourism or are active in tourism in some way.

2. The role also is to ensure promotion by providing underlying materials and taking part in organising conferences etc.

3. The next role is to promote the project “Restoration of the Povazsky Castle – Cultural and National Heritage (CNH)” especially by its own web page, promotion materials etc., exclusively in compliance with the grant terms and conditions.
